Looking for a Jumper alternative?
Jumper is excellent if you edit in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio or Avid Media Composer — it searches from right inside your editor or from its standalone Mac and Windows app, across everything it has analyzed. Here's how MediaFind compares, and where each one fits.

Which one is for you
Pick MediaFind if you have a library to search — an archive of interviews, b-roll, past projects — and you want one place that also finds songs and logos, then sends the clip to your NLE. It runs on Mac, Windows or Linux, and you can verify the privacy claim yourself.
Pick Jumper if you want search built into your editor. It has native plugins for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio and Avid Media Composer as well as a standalone app, and it can search everything it has analyzed. MediaFind exports to your NLE, but it isn't an in-editor panel.
Where MediaFind goes further
Both tools search dialogue, speakers, scenes, faces (Pro, on Jumper) and on-screen text. MediaFind also indexes songs and audio events and recognizes logos, search types Jumper doesn't advertise. So "find every shot where this logo appears, or this song plays" works across everything you've indexed, and the result goes straight to Final Cut, Premiere or Resolve. It also runs on Linux, and a built-in audit confirms zero external connections on the core indexing and search path.
Pricing and platforms
MediaFind is $24.99/mo (or $107.88/yr), runs on Mac, Windows and Linux, and exports to Final Cut, Premiere or Resolve. Jumper is sold per seat (one device per license): $169 for a lifetime license that covers its standalone app and every NLE plugin, or Jumper Pro — which adds face recognition and people search — at $49/mo, $399/yr or $599 lifetime. Jumper runs on macOS and Windows.
