MediaFind processes indexed media, transcripts, embeddings, faces, notes, and searches on your device. MediaFind does not operate analytics or advertising services and does not upload your library to MediaFind.

Network access occurs when you request a public download, install an optional model, check for updates, activate or refresh a subscription entitlement, or use the iOS companion over your local network. Checkout, subscription billing, and payment information are processed by Stripe under its own privacy terms. License fulfillment uses the subscriber email supplied by Stripe. If you arrive via an affiliate link, Rewardful sets a 60-day referral cookie to attribute the resulting subscription; it does not track you across unrelated sites.

The iOS companion stores its server token in the Apple Keychain. Face processing runs entirely on your device and is entitlement-aware: the Add Media face option is enabled by default for Pro/trial installs, disabled by default on free installs, and face indexing is Pro-gated. It can be turned off at any time; mediafind people --forget deletes MediaFind's stored face and people records. Removing MediaFind does not automatically remove your source media.
