Search your sales call recordings for objections and commitments
Recorded sales calls are the most honest account of what buyers want. Most teams record them and then never find anything in them again.
What's buried in your call recordings
Every recorded call holds questions sales leaders, founders and product teams care about: which objections come up most, how often a competitor gets named, what you promised the customer in the demo. The answers are spread across dozens or hundreds of recordings.
Individual reps also need the small things: the exact wording of a customer's requirement before the proposal goes out, or what the buyer said about timing two calls ago.
For a small team without a dedicated call platform, the recordings often already exist in a video meeting tool's cloud or a downloads folder. The gap isn't recording. It's search.
How teams do it today
For a large sales org, a dedicated platform may well be the right call. For a founder, a small team or anyone who records calls but doesn't want another cloud service holding them, a local search tool covers the core need: finding what was said.
- CRM notes. Structured and shared, and only as complete as the rep had time to make them.
- Conversation intelligence platforms. Built for this and rich in dashboards, usually with per-seat pricing, a bot or integration capturing calls, and every customer conversation stored in the vendor's cloud.
- Re-listening. Accurate, and nobody has the time.
A local call review workflow
- Save call recordings to a folder MediaFind watches, or capture calls live with Meetings mode (Pro), which in the Mac app hears both sides of a Zoom, Teams or Meet call without a bot.
- Add product names, competitor names and industry terms to the names and terms list so transcripts spell them right.
- Name your reps' voices once; MediaFind recognizes them in later calls, so you can tell your side from the customer's.
- Search by meaning: “customer says the price is too high,” “concerns about switching from the current vendor.”
- Or ask across calls: “what did Acme say about their budget?” Answers cite each call and timestamp.
Notes and follow-ups
With Meetings mode, each call gets key points, action items and decisions. With Pro, meeting notes export with those up front, and action items go to your calendar as an .ics file. Any transcript exports as Word, PDF or text to paste into a CRM or a deal review. Tags and saved searches are free, so a saved search for a competitor's name becomes a running list of every call where they came up.
If you connect an AI assistant such as Claude or Cursor over MCP, it can search your calls too. Keep in mind that the results it asks for go to that assistant and its provider if it runs in the cloud.
Searches that pay off
Each result is a timestamp you can play, so a claim like “customers keep asking for this” comes with the recordings to back it up.
- Objection patterns: “customer worried about implementation time,” across the last quarter's calls.
- Competitive intel: every mention of a competitor, with what the buyer said about them.
- Commitments: “we'll get back to you on security questions,” so nothing promised gets lost.
- Coaching: how your strongest rep answers a hard pricing question, to share with new hires as a clip.
- Product feedback: feature requests in the customer's own words, to send to the product team.
Customer data stays with you
Sales calls contain pricing, contract terms and customers' internal plans. MediaFind transcribes and searches on your own computer with no account and no upload. Call recording rules differ by location and some require every party's consent, so tell customers you're recording and follow your company's policy.
Frequently asked questions
Can I find every call where a competitor was mentioned?
Yes. Search the competitor's name or describe the conversation, and results list each call with the timestamp. A saved search keeps the query ready for new calls.
Does it record calls without a bot?
Meetings mode (Pro) captures audio on your computer. In the Mac app it hears both sides of Zoom, Teams or Meet calls, and no bot joins.
Can I separate what the customer said from what my rep said?
Speaker labels mark who is talking. Name your reps' voices once and they are recognized in later calls, so you can focus on the other side.
Is this a replacement for a CRM?
No. It searches and summarizes recordings. Export transcripts or notes and paste what matters into your CRM.
