MediaDownload
Batch-download public videos in a native Mac app from pasted URLs, public search-result pages, and channel pages. Select exactly what you want, choose output quality, preserve metadata, and keep the queue moving locally.

Find, filter, select, download
MediaDownload turns messy public links into a visible queue you control before bytes hit disk.
Discover first
Paste direct media URLs, public search pages, playlists, or channel pages. Discovery lists candidate videos before downloading.
Selectable resultsQuality controls
Choose source quality, 2160p, 1440p, 1080p, 720p, audio-only, container, codec intent, bitrate intent, and worker count.
Batch settingsMetadata included
Save sidecar metadata next to files or in the app folder, with advanced options for embedded metadata and captions when supported.
Traceable downloadsNatural-language filters, local fallback
Ask for filters like "YouTube under two minutes" and MediaDownload turns that into chips. If your local Ollama-compatible model is not running, deterministic fallback filters keep the workflow useful.
- Source filters for YouTube, TikTok, and Reels-style public pages.
- Duration filters for short-form triage and batch selection.
- Creation-date metadata carried through when the source exposes it.
Download only what you explicitly choose
The downloader refuses credentialed, private-network, loopback, signed, and non-http sources. The web app and LLM endpoint bind to loopback by default.
- No accounts, cookies, API keys, browser profiles, or netrc credentials.
- SQLite queue with persisted job state and background workers.
- Break-aware outputs through temp files, unique names, sidecars, and retriable jobs.
